Aimed at providing the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Quezon province with relevant and timely professional help in managing policy implementation and addressing issues and concerns as regards Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP), DepEd IV-A CALABARZON’s Regional Field Technical Assistance Team (RFTAT) conducted an online technical assistance activity with the Division’s FTA Teams on Monday, June 7.
Said TA provision is in reference with the Regional Memorandum No. 222, s. 2021 titled Technical Assistance Delivery to the Division Field Technical Assistance Teammates (DFTATs) through “Kumustahan”. It sought to determine underlying issues and concerns based on the submitted needs by the Division for comprehensive TA engagement to governance levels and units, covering all areas of management and operations. Coaching was provided to the DFTATs as professional support towards assisting the teams to be effective in their functions and/or achieving set goals.
SGOD Chief Elizabeth De Villa presented the possible weaknesses of operations underlying some policies implemented, together with their mode of technical assistance and possible adjustments based on feedback.
Specifically, the RFTAT Team 8 led by Ann Geralyn Pelias, DepEd IV-A CALABARZON’s Chief of Administrative Division, provided the needed TA. Her members were also present, namely: Nancy Dizon (Supervising Administrative Officer); Dr. Annaliza Araojo (Dentist III); Dr. Mark Anthony Malonzo (Education Program Specialist); Pacita Lungcay (Education Program Supervisor); Dr. Buenalyn M. Manuel (Education Program Supervisor); and Babeth C. Cruz (Administrative Officer V).
Regional FTA Division (RFTAD) Chief Michael Girard R. Alba discussed the activity’s rationale. With him are the other Regional Education Program Supervisors Romyr Lazo, Dr. Andrea Mabel E. Abrencillo who facilitated the focus group discussion; and Eugenio Adrao who facilitated the performance contract after the program.
CID Chief Dr. Lorena Walangsumbat introduced the DFTAT members chaired by Dr. Elias Alicaya Jr., OIC-Schools Division Superintendent; and co-chaired by Gregorio Co Jr., Gregorio Mueco, and Herbert Perez, OIC-Assistant Schools Division Superintendents. Senior Education Program Specialist Oscar Duma Jr., on the other hand, serves as the FTA Coordinator.
Co delivered the welcome address, highlighting that all Division TA activities are inspired by and intended to chiefly benefit Quezonian learners. The statement was further elaborated by Alicaya, priding that the efforts of SDO Quezon are always for the advantage of its learners and employees. In fact, the Division has already made big steps in establishing its Sub-Offices in strategic locations across the four congressional districts in the province.
Alicaya expressed his delighted anticipation for the nearing opening of said sub-offices.
