The Schools Division Office of Quezon officially recognized and honored outstanding employees and schools for their excellence in delivering basic education services during the 2023 DepEd Quezon Rewards and Recognition Ceremonies in the Quezon Convention Center, Quezon Capitol Compound, Lucena City, December 21.
Aligned with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE), the DepEd Quezon Gintong BINHI is an excellence service award that embodies the values of "binhi," symbolizing awardees who exemplify excellence, cultivate service, and yield quality, excellence, and success as their fruits.
The Gawad Gintong BINHI recognized outstanding individuals and schools in both Individual and School categories. Notable awardees included Jeric P. Mutya of Bagupaye Elementary School, Mulanay I, named Outstanding Elementary School Teacher, and Leonida B. De Rosales of Quezon National High School, Sariaya East, recognized as the Outstanding Secondary School Teacher. Malou M. De Ramos of San Antonio Central School, San Antonio District, was honored as the Outstanding Elementary School Master Teacher, while Elizabeth D. Lalunio of Recto Memorial High School, Tiaong I, received the Outstanding Secondary Master Teacher award. Elizabeth A. Ursolino of Perez West Elementary School, Perez District, emerged as the Outstanding SPED Teacher, and Cristina V. Alpay of Alupay Elementary School, Sampaloc District, was named the Outstanding Multigrade Teacher. Don Kirby M. Alvarez of Candelaria Main Elementary School, Candelaria West, won the Outstanding ALS Teacher award.
In leadership categories, Margarita A. Rodrigo of Dolores Central School was recognized as the Outstanding School Head for Elementary, while Ariel C. Del Mundo of Cabay National High School, Tiaong II, received the same award for Secondary. EPS Jee-Ann O. Borines was hailed as the Outstanding Education Program Supervisor, and PSDS Restituto M. Hernandez was recognized as the Outstanding Public Schools District Supervisor.
The Outstanding Non-Teaching Personnel Level 1 award went to Olibert A. Ritual of Paaralang Sekundarya ng Heneral Nakar, while Ma. Teresita M. Abella of the Schools Division Office was named the Outstanding Non-Teaching Personnel for Level 2. Odessa B. Manguiat of Recto Memorial National High School, on the other hand, received the Outstanding Teaching-Related Personnel award.
Furthermore, the Outstanding Elementary Teacher-Researcher award was bestowed upon Ramil A. Borreo of Binulasan Integrated School, Infanta, and Charlene Joy G. Oliveros of Alabat Island National High School received the Outstanding Secondary Teacher-Researcher title.
In the School category, Gumaca West Central School was hailed as the Best Performing Public Elementary School, and Paaralang Sekundarya ng Heneral Nakar clinched the Best Performing Public Secondary School award.
